Пещерите до Плевен
Има периоди, в които ми се обикаля повече по пещери, а те наистина са цяла Вселена от разнообразие в България. От спелеолозите, които ме ограмотяваха навремето по темата знам, че пещерите като цяло могат да бъдат два вида: пропастни и пропадни. Затова и в изключително наситения карстов район до Карлуково най-известната и май лесно достъпна пещера от Пещерния дом е т. нар. „Очите на Бога“. Но за нея вече е ставало дума. 
Сега ще Ви срещна с някои други подобни подземни природни творения като пещерата до Плевен – Голяма Гарваница. Защо се нарича точно така не е ясно, но тя представлява огромна пропаст със стълба. Все едно слизаш до „долния свят“ и то внезапно, от поляна след самото с. Горско Сливово.

Пещерата Стълбицата се намира на около 4 км от с. Кърпачево. Дотам може да се стигне с джип или пеша. Пещерата е с приятна енергия. Прилича на купа със стълба надолу. Има пещерни образувания, има и езеро, което в момента е пресъхнало. Като нереална картина, която може да изчезне всеки момент е проникващата светлина към металната стълба, изцяло покрита с мъх.
Селският магазин е миксирал претенциите на клиентите си от различни евродържави, като преобладават два-три асорстимента: английски сладости, чипс, френска минерална вода на прилични за европейците цени и пача – за всички, не само за старите жители на селото.
Следващата пещера, която ще спомена е Мандрата. Намира се близо до с. Чавдарци и както и в други подобни природни скални обекти, през соца и тя някога е била мандра, после склад, а сега общо взето е в почивка от хорските амбиции.
Пещера Съева дупка в момента има някакъв проблем и не работи. Ако все пак Ви се прииска като нас да излезете над земята, може да посетите и помашкото село Бабинци, където е пълно с работливи и ведри хора, както и хълмисти ливади с купи сено.
Тук може да отскочите до параклиса на вр. Острич и до съседния вр. Трескавец. А може и да се поразтъпчете из центъра на град Тетевен. Тук в околностите на града не е за изпускане и екопътеката „Под пръските на водопада“. Е, в този сезон ще видите само ледени висулки, но пътят до там е достатъчно живописен, дори и да няма вода. Всъщност, тук е прекрасно наистина във всеки сезон. Ако имате повечко дни за обикаляне, направете си разходка и до Гложенския манастир.
Наблизо е и приказното с. Старо Стефаново, за което вече съм Ви говорила. Ето я и къщата на Катя с мандалите /на Галя Райчева от Варна/, която като повечето къщи в селото също е паметник на културата.
