Venice Cave

It is located in northwestern Bulgaria, in the region of Vidin and is one of the newest caves in Bulgaria. Occasionally discovered – but not like most of the shepherds, and in blasting activities, the hidden beauty of the dungeon has been revealed. For about three or four years, it has been adapted for visits by tourists, with its beautiful shapes highlighted with adequate lighting. It is somehow similar to the Dragon cave in Kastoria (today’s Greece). It can be reached from Mantana, Belogradchik or Vidin – in the direction of Oreshets. The entrance fees are: 6 BGN for adults, 4 BGN for pensioners and 3 BGN for students. In group visits, they also make a 1-leu discount per person if you have a group list with company stamp. Inside you can shoot, but no flash! Here is the “kingdom” of the onyx – it is abundant.

Your visit to Venice can also be combined with one of the oldest and mysterious caves in Bulgaria – the Magura (36 km is the distance between them), the Belogradchik Rocks (14 km) and the town of Kula with the interesting fortress Kastra Martis.
